28th week
Now, you are 28 weeks pregnant and you feel that this approach: you just over 3 months to wait before your baby birth. You'll feel awkward and maybe even a little numb. Your weight gain: In recent months, you will probably take 8.8 Lbs (ideally not more !...).
Tips for a serene pregnancy: Sit at the first signs of fatigue. Take care of your legs: improve blood circulation with cool water (but not cold) showers and by putting some gels or creams to relieve tired legs.
Baby: S/he measures about 14.6 inches and weighs about 2.2 Lbs. He can open his eyes, his taste sense is fine and he reacts like a baby to term (at seven months, the seat part of the brain where consciousness is, is well developed). However, his lungs are still immature.
32th week
When you are 32 weeks pregnant you need to rest, so try going to bed earlier and take a
nap! From now on, the baby would grow more so that your weight should instead be stabilizing. If not, watch your diet by reducing sugars, fried foods, dairy products high in fat ... So you stay healthy and you will readily take your original weight after childbirth.
Minor ailments
- You're out of breath and need to urinate more frequently as the baby grows, he pushes your internal organs!
- You hardly find a comfortable position to sleep.
- The joints in your pelvis stretch and it causes discomfort or painful discomfort.
Baby: S/he measures between 15.70 and 16.5 inches and weighs between 3.3 and 4 Lbs. The fetus is completely formed and has fat under the skin. In most cases s/he was placed upside down, the ideal position for birth! It's time to buy necessities for baby layettes (bodysuits or jackets, pajamas, sweaters, shoes, hat ...), cot, changing mat. Etc..
36th week
You should now prepare with joy in giving birth to your child! You will be tempted to clean up and tidy your house ... This is natural, but allow yourself because you need rest. Stay straight to protect your back and keep taking care of your legs to prevent swelling and painful varicose veins.
40th week
At 40 weeks you've probably the sensation of taking much space! In addition, your big belly imbalance you and makes you perceive space differently.
Minor ailments
- Any movement represents an effort.
- You feel a heaviness in the abdomen.
- The skin of your belly is distended and can be itchy.
- You have some contractions, but they are not painful.
Tips: Have a moisturizer on your stomach, breathe quietly during the contractions and relax again! Drink herbal teas to help relax and calm especially contractions but ask advice of your doctor for the choice of plants. Indeed, some plants cause painful contractions.
Baby: S/he measures between 19.30 and 20" and weighs about 7.7 Lbs. Lanugo has disappeared even though it remains a bit on the limbs (arms, shoulders and legs). Your baby is fully ready for the birth!
How to dress during the last trimester?
Choose nice and comfortable clothes, preferably with natural fibers. Avoid clothing with strings or elastic bands that fasten at the waist, stomach, or that interferes with blood circulation in legs (socks, knee socks ...). Nowadays, we can find dresses and pants both comfortable and fashion designed for pregnant women, so enjoy!
Regarding the shoes, experts advise pregnant women to wear flat heels because they are more safe than high ones, but not ballerinas without heels. Also prefer shoes without shoelaces because they are more convenient to put on at the end of pregnancy!
